Brilliant very pale straw; nose of canned peach juice, lime zest and perfumed, but very subtle orange muscat; I also detect an almost NY style vitis labrusca foxiness (as found in Widmer’s Lake Niagara) and no noticeable yeastiness. Very steady bubble stream and a creamy mousse with the perfect balance of tart lemony acidity. Flavors show dry lemon, lime and light stone fruits. I’d say this is a fruity bubbly, but the flavors are very subtle. There’s a little bitterness in the finish, but it doesn’t detract. A somewhat unusual stylistic sparkler. Packaging (though perhaps not the name) strikes me as the perfect wedding bubbly and the price is right for what it is.
