The back labels says 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 20% Mourvedre. Very clear and ruby red in color. The nose has a mix of mostly red fruits with cherry somewhat dominating over some raspberry. A touch of anise, spice, herbs, and a little heat. Almost sweet cherry on the palate later changing to a tarter raspberry as it opens up. Earthy undertones, herbs, licorice on a very textured wine with soft mid palate tannins. Nice acids with lingering fruit and a touch of oak. A little heat, however not distracting. This wine leans strongly to the bright and elegant side yet is still grippy and full in the mouth. I rather enjoyed it, but I am a sucker for Rhone and Rhone styled wines.
