It shows ripe fruit of yellow apple, pear, melon (white rind and a little cantaloupe), some lemony acid, and toasted almondy oak. It’s nicely structured and delineated. While showing some aged character, it’s not over the hill. Like a white Burgundy not too long ago, something about the fruit is somewhat French in character, although I’d say it is mostly Californian. The only thing I can say against it is that its smooth structure falls apart a little when it warms, so drink it at a normal chilled wine temperature.
