Brilliant pale golden; very pleasant bouquet of slightly green (underripe) pear, white peach, grapefruit pith and flintstone. In the mouth, it’s very soft and smooth while showing decent acidity; bone dry, but lightly fruity with flavors of grapefruit and earthiness. A rather austere wine that strikes me as the perfect wine for shellfish—either drinking it with fresh chilled oysters on the halfshell or as the cooking broth for steamed clams or mussels. This is NOT your seriously fruity domestic Pinot Gris for sure. A buck less would make it a better GO deal.
