Silverdale, WA 12.5% alc. (Purchased on 6/3/13)
Clear pale ruby with a youthful pinkish rim. Nose shows dried cherry, earth, cinnamon and rose petals. In the mouth it’s light and tart with very restrained, supple tannins. The flavors show dried cherry, pie cherry, underripe raspberry, a little green peppercorn and more earthiness/sassafras bark. Really a rather simple red with nice flavors, decent fruit and fine balance. Clearly a food wine, though it sips by itself very nicely.
