I avoided this wine for a while, but somehow curiosity got the better of me. It’s apparently a label of Adler Fels Winery, of which they seem to have quite a few, including some we’ve also seen at the GO, such as Leaping Lizard, Coyote Creek, and Eye Candy.
This wine has classic Cabernet flavors of blackcurrant, red cherry, and riper redcurrant, in a style that’s medium-bodied and somewhat elegant. I’d be more positive except that I found the finish quite rough, even a little abrasive. Maybe it would settle down with more time in the bottle, but my guess is that the wine is not really built to last.
