DO Casablanca Valley, Chile; 13.7% ABV
$6 at the Oakland, CA, store on 12 August
This wine presents ripe yellow melon, smooth minerality, gooseberry, a little melon rind roughness. While its flavors are similar to a New Zealand SB, the fruit’s a little riper and less structured. A pretty tasty but not outstanding buy for $6.
The next day, the rest of the bottle in the fridge was less fresh and structured, but not too bad.
