Silverdale, WA     12% alc.    (Purchased on 8/30/13)

IMG_1105From Precept Brands, another decent value.  Brilliant pale straw with a very fragrant nose of spiced pear, apple and grapefruit.  In the mouth, there’s a really nice balance of crisp acidity, concentrated “sweet” pear and apple flavors and pleasant spiciness.  A great quaffer, but also works well with food, like the pan sauteed Copper River salmon with butter and carmelized onions that we had it with tonight.  Very tasty and an excellent buy for four bucks.  Actually, the back label describes the wine much better than I did: ” …aromas of crisp green apple and pink grapefruit with a light scent of almond and whiffs of spiciness.  The lively acidity on the palate allows this wine to linger  for a long time.”
