This promised to be tasty upon opening, but was a bit thin and acid. This time, however, although the fruit darkened and filled out some after about 90 minutes in a decanter, the strong acid remained, and with fairly simple flavors of ripe red cherry, red cranberry, blueberry / dark blackberry and maybe a little hibiscus. I was debating between “Drinkable” and “Thumbs Down” but the wine also developed a sort of “rotted prune” flavor that pushed it over the edge to the latter. I’ve seen wines develop and then lose that flavor, though, so maybe it still didn’t get enough air. Has anyone tried this wine the day after opening it?
