Silverdale, WA 13% alc. (Purchased on 10/3/13)
Clear medium ruby with a slightly orange rim. Nose is clearly Pinot…black cherry and spice. There was a little skunky, sulfury aroma when first uncorked, but it quickly blew off. In the mouth, it’s thin, a bit watery and mighty tart. Lacks body, texture and any real depth. Very simple. Finishes quite tart and lemony, leaving a sort of acidic bite. Bouquet shows promise, flavors disappoint. Don’t know what it retailed for when released, but for me, it’s most definitely a $3-$4 Pinot Noir. Might be a low Drinkable for some (those who are o.k. with light, high acidity Pinots), but for me it’s a Thumbs Down.
