Silverdale, WA 13.9% alc. (Purchased on 1/10/14)
Hard finding out anything of real consequence about this wine on the web. From what I gather, it’s a somewhat cryptic-looking negociant label (along with Boomtown Wines) from Dusted Valley (a very reputable winery) in the Walla Walla Valley. One site states that this blend is “mostly Chardonnay”.
Brilliant pale golden; rather closed nose with very little aromatics. In the mouth it’s a bit tart and one-dimensional with some citrus and Pinot Gris-like pear flavors. Acidity isn’t bad, but little texture, flavor or body. Perhaps light oak, but overall quite blah. Skip this one…even for three bucks. There are a lot of tastier wines out there.
