Produced and bottled by the Cecchetti Wine Co
Purchase on 11-5-2014 Albany, OR GO
This wine was made by the same company that produced the Exitus Red Blend that I reviewed late last year. The bottle is heavy. The label is parchment. It looked promising in the bottle. To be honest, I thought it was a Cab Sauv. before I purchased (if those of you who know I hate bell pepper in a wine, wonder why on earth I bought it).
FWIW, it’s not bad, from someone who hates bell pepper.
Nose: Black currant and a bit like over-cooked toast.
Taste: Red/black currants, grass, green bell pepper. Dry mouthfeel. Medium body.
This is not an upper tier wine, despite the nice label. It sells for $12 retail. It tastes like a daily drinker. If you like Cabernet Franc, you might try it and weigh in, since this was a mistaken purchase for me.
